Pryor Public Schools Superintendent
Dr. Lisa Muller joined Pryor Public Schools in July 2021. She has District oversight of our schools which serve approximately 3,000 students and 500 employees. Previously, Muller served as Associate Superintendent for Instructional Services at Jenks Public Schools. Before moving into district administration, Muller worked as a classroom teacher and instructional coach in both Texas and Oklahoma and was the academic principal of Jenks High School.
Muller holds a Bachelor’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University, a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston, and a Doctorate in Educational Administration, Curriculum, and Supervision from the University of Oklahoma. Muller also serves as an adjunct professor at The University of Oklahoma, instructing doctoral students in Instructional Leadership, Strategic and Financial Planning, Policy Evaluation, and Visionary Leadership.
She has been recognized for her commitment to education with numerous awards. Longview Independent School District, Muller’s alma mater, named her a 2023 Distinguished Alumni. In 2021, the Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration (CCOSA) named Muller as the Assistant Superintendent of the Year for the State of Oklahoma. The Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education at The University of Oklahoma named her as its Outstanding Graduate Student in 2014. Muller’s publications include articles in both School Administrator and Principal Leadership education journals, and she has presented at multiple national conferences including the National Association of Secondary School Principals and the Quest for Excellence Conference held annually by the Malcolm Baldrige Award program.
In addition to her work in education, Muller values community service. She is a sustaining member and former board director of the Junior League of Tulsa, a graduate of Leadership Tulsa, and board member and committee chair for Resonance Center for Women, a non-profit agency promoting and supporting the well-being and self-sufficiency of women challenged by the criminal justice system.
Dr. Muller and her husband Frank have been married for over 30 years and have three adult children and one grandchild.
