In just their second season, the Pryor Tigers swim team qualified seven swimmers for State this past weekend.
Those that qualified for State include, Lilyan Casey (200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay, 100 Breast), Grace Rutherford (200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay), Kamree Willyard (100 Fly, 400 Free Relay), Rooke Goodson (200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay, 100 Breast), Keaton Willyard (200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay), Addison Beggs (100 Fly, 400 Free Relay) and Luz Ortega (400 Free Relay).
Bryce Raymer, John Burns and Michael Brooner all set personal bests in the pool at the Regional but didn't qualify for state.
"This season has been all about hard work and teamwork," Pryor High School Senior, Grace Rutherford said. "Everyone has pushed themselves to improve, and it’s amazing to see how far we’ve come together.”
This season, the swim team took 3rd overall in the Hornet Invite and the Bixby meet.
State will be held at the Jenks Aquatic Center on February 21st and 22nd. Prelims will be on Friday, February 21st and finals will be on Saturday, February 22nd. The action will begin at 4:00 P.M. on both days.
