The Tigers have three games left in the regular season and this week is a big time showdown. Pryor will travel to Collinsville with playoff positioning on the line. Currently the Tigers sit in 2nd place in the district with a 3-1 record.
With a victory on Friday night, hosting a playoff game at Tiger Stadium will be a real possibility(top two in district host 1st round). If the result isn't what we all want, then having to win vs Memorial(Nov. 1) and at Del City(Nov. 8) will be paramount.
If two teams are tied in the district, head-to-head is the tiebreaker. If three or more teams are tied, district points decide positioning. You gain or lose however many points you win or lose by up to 15 points maximum. For example, beating Claremore 31-6, Pryor received 15 district points and Claremore lost 15 points.
As you can tell, we need everyone to show up and be loud on Friday night in Collinsville. The Cardinals are coming off a heartbreaking loss to Claremore and are also needing a win to help secure playoff positioning.
The Cardinals enter Friday night at 5-2 overall and Pryor Head Coach, Kenny Davis, talks about what you can expect from them, "When you look at Collinsville the thing that stands out is their size. They will be big upfront on both sides of the ball. We have to be able to stop the run. Their RB #3 will be one of the best backs we have seen. The Qb throws the ball well and #1 at WR can go get it."
Kickoff is at 7 PM at Sallee Field (399 N. 19th St., Collinsville).
"Going to Collinsville is always a tough place to play, but our kids have prepared well and are ready for the challenge," adds Davis.
If you can't make the game, the live broadcast stream will be on our Youtube Channel (@PryorTigerVideo).
