Pryor will be hosting a Class 5A Softball regional next week. The regional will include three teams; Pryor, Sapulpa and Durant. All games will be played on Wednesday, October 9th and Thursday, October 10th. Durant and Sapulpa will play at 2 PM on Wednesday with the winner playing the Tigers at 4 PM. Other Class 5A regional hosts include Collinsville, Coweta, Duncan, Carl Albert, Piedmont, Guthrie and Tahlequah.
Freshman Centerfielder, Rhymee Rutherford will be playing in her first regional. "I'm excited to host [regionals], I love playing at home and the atmosphere of the fans."
The Tigers have won 26 games so far this season going into the Bixby Festival this weekend. "My favorite thing about our team is having fun while playing. It helps especially in big games being able to just relax and have fun. I think this has been a big part of our success this year," said Rutherford.
The Tigers still have three games left in the regular season. They will be playing Jenks and Bixby at the Bixby Festival tomorrow, October 4th. They will return to Pryor for their final regular season home game against Stigler on Monday, October 7th at 5 PM.
