When you start a program from scratch, it's not going to be an easy journey. The Pryor Tigers Volleyball team is in year three of existence and things are starting to turn around. The Tigers have already eclipsed the previous two seasons combined win total(10) with 11 wins this season. Pryor is 5-2 in their last seven matches and Head Coach, Jason Stimson sees a lot of improvement, not only on the court but off of it as well.
"I think the biggest difference is the overall team chemistry," said Stimson talking about the differences this year compared to previous seasons. "They genuinely care about each other outside of volleyball. Which in turn shows on the court, when we mess up or have a few mistakes in a row, there is always someone there to lead and lift the others up."
The Tigers will be back in action this coming Monday night, September 23rd, vs. East Central for Senior Night. The JV squad will play at 5 PM with Senior Night activities beginning at 6 PM.
"From seniors to freshmen to our bench energy, these girls have each other's backs. They are a fun group to watch and they give everything they have for each point won or lost," added Stimson.
Their final home match of the season will be on October 3rd against Skiatook. That will be the annual Pink Out game.
