Pryor High School student JB Brakefield has been named the State Winner in Dairy Production Placement Proficiency, earning statewide recognition for his work, dedication, and skill in the agricultural industry.
With the honor, Brakefield received a $400 cash prize and a $1,000 scholarship. He will now advance to compete at the national level, representing Pryor FFA and Oklahoma.
Brakefield’s recognition was one of several highlights for Pryor FFA during the 100th Oklahoma FFA Convention and Expo, held May 5–6, 2026, in Tulsa at the BOK Center and Cox Business Convention Center. Twenty-eight Pryor FFA members attended the milestone event, joining thousands of students from more than 300 chapters across the state.
Throughout the convention, students had the opportunity to take part in career exploration, hear from inspiring keynote speakers, attend leadership workshops and sessions, visit the expo hall, and experience the election of new state officers.
Pryor FFA was also recognized for its outstanding contributions to the Hunger Challenge, an accomplishment that reflects the chapter’s commitment to service and helping others. Through their efforts, Pryor students demonstrated the Pryor Tiger Way while living out the FFA mission of premier leadership, personal growth, and career success.
The 100th Oklahoma FFA Convention and Expo provided Pryor students with an opportunity to celebrate achievement, connect with other FFA members from across the state, and continue building skills for the future.
Pryor Public Schools is proud of all 28 FFA members who represented Pryor High School and congratulates JB Brakefield as he advances to the national stage.
