STEM teacher Delia Gietzen has been selected as Roosevelt Elementary’s 2026 Teacher of the Year, earning the honor through a vote of her fellow faculty members. She will now represent Roosevelt in the Pryor Public Schools Teacher of the Year selection process.

Known for turning learning into an adventure, Mrs. Gietzen leads students through hands-on discovery in the campus STEM lab—bringing science and technology to life through games, creative challenges, and engaging activities that keep students curious and excited to learn.

She’s also behind one of this year’s biggest campus trends: faculty trading cards. The fun, student-loved idea has sparked connections across the building and brought an extra dose of joy to everyday school life.

In addition, Mrs. Gietzen leads Roosevelt’s Yay Squad, a student celebration team that recognizes achievements and helps build a culture where effort and success are noticed, encouraged, and cheered on by both students and staff.

Congratulations, Mrs. Gietzen, on this well-deserved honor—and thank you for the energy, creativity, and heart you bring to Roosevelt Elementary every day!
