Two Pryor High School seniors will soon take their place at the Oklahoma State Capitol, gaining firsthand experience with state government as part of the Capitol Page Program.

Seniors Carli Thomas and Aurora Parks have been selected to serve as legislative pages for Tom Gann through the Oklahoma Capitol Page Program.

Both students have demonstrated exceptional leadership throughout their high school careers. Carli and Aurora serve as members of their FCCLA officer team, are involved in youth leadership organizations, and plan to be future educators. They were also members of Pryor High School’s 2025 State Champion LifeSmarts and Knowledge Bowl teams, representing both their school and the state of Oklahoma at national competitions last year.

During their week at the Capitol, the Pryor seniors will gain first-hand experience in state government by:

  • Shadowing their state representative and observing daily legislative activities

  • Learning how bills are read, debated, and voted on through a mock legislative session

  • Participating in leadership and civic engagement activities

  • Building friendships with students from across Oklahoma

These accomplishments add to their involvement in school activities, community events, and a strong commitment to academic excellence.

“It has been a true honor to recommend these outstanding students for the Page Program,” said their FCCLA advisor. “I am incredibly proud of Carli and Aurora and look forward to watching them continue to grow as leaders who will positively impact our state and our country.”
