Last Tuesday, March 24, the members of the Class of 2026 gathered in the AVRA Performing Arts Center for a senior meeting and to receive their caps and gowns. During the meeting, PHS Principal Valerie Hiett reviewed important guidelines, key dates, and information that seniors and their families need to know as commencement draws near.
The annual senior meeting helps ensure that students are prepared for the final weeks of high school and the events leading up to graduation. From senior traditions to commencement expectations, the meeting gave students a clear overview of what to expect during this important season.
Senior activities for the Class of 2026 include the following:
Sunday, May 3
2:30 p.m. — Seniors report to Pryor Creekside Church
3:00 p.m. — Baccalaureate Service at Pryor Creekside Church, hosted by United Pryor Youth Ministries
Seniors will wear caps and gowns and proceed in as a group.
Thursday, May 14
6:00 p.m. — Senior Recognition Night
Seniors will wear business casual attire.
Friday, May 15
10:00 a.m. — Seniors Walk the Pryor school halls
Seniors will wear caps and gowns and proceed in as a group.
Thursday, May 21
1:00 p.m. — Commencement practice at Tiger Stadium
5:45 p.m. — Stadium gates open
6:30 p.m. — Seniors line up for the processional at Tiger Stadium
7:00 p.m. — Commencement at Tiger Stadium
Seniors will wear caps and gowns and proceed in as a group.
In the event of inclement weather, practice and commencement may be moved to the AVRA Performing Arts Center.
Friday, June 5
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. — Diplomas will be available beginning this day
Please note that in order to participate in commencement, seniors must be present for practice on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

As the school year enters its final stretch, Pryor High School looks forward to celebrating the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 and sharing these memorable moments with families and the community.
