For a young student, getting off at the wrong bus stop can be a scary mistake; yet this exact thing happened on October 2nd. When Cyenna, a first grader in Mrs. Whitenack’s class, saw this happen she stepped in to help the younger student.
Students start developing character from a young age here at Pryor! #HeartofPryor

Meet our First Year Teachers!
Meet our First Year Teachers!
Ms. Lane, as her students know her, joined our 3rd grade team this year! She is now Mrs. McKinney as she recently got married to Colton McKinney. Most of her spare time is spent with the love of her life “Lady,” which is their new puppy!
Ms. Lane absolutely loves teaching 3rd grade here at Lincoln! She feels like this was what she was meant to be doing all along and that it is truly her dream job!
In her words “it’s an awesome job and I love it.”
What she loves most about her job is the relationships that she had already built with her students and her fellow teachers! She loves it when a student has that “lightbulb moment” or finally reaches their goal!
We are so happy she has joined our team! She is already making a difference!
Mr. Pruitt is also a first year teacher this year! He joined our fabulous fifth grade team this year teaching English Language Arts.
Teachers obviously had a huge impact on Mr. Pruitt growing up! He noticed time and time again how much teachers poured into the lives of their students and just how much they cared overall! He wanted to be just as impactful as some of those teachers in his childhood was for him and for others!
Mr. Pruitt can’t wait to get to school each and every day to see his students and his amazing team. They laugh often, have so much fun, and enjoy learning together!
After school you will find Mr. Pruitt is still pouring into the lives of children as he helps with our after school program and he is also involved in his church children’s ministry.
He wholeheartedly wants his students to know that they can do anything and that they ALL have a purpose in life! We are thankful such a wonderful and full of life teacher joined us at Lincoln Elementary!
Another great teacher on our fabulous fifth grade team is Ms. Boyd! Ms. Boyd teaches science and social studies on our fifth grade rotation. She has five siblings and growing up she always loved playing school!
She knew that she wanted a career where she would be able to work with children, but most of all, be a loving and supportive role model in their life.
In her spare time, Ms. Boyd and her boyfriend Garrett love being outdoors and trying new things! They have a black lab whom they adore! At the end of the day, Ms. Boyd hopes her students know that she loves them and that she will always be there for them. We are thrilled to have Ms. Boyd with us at Lincoln Elementary!
Lincoln recertifies as school of character!
Lincoln has been recognized again as an Oklahoma State School of Character.
Lincoln will also be pursuing recertification for national school of character this year as well.
Pryor Elementary STEM Labs would like to thank GRDA for their generous grant to add more hands on learning opportunities for our students!
