Lincoln Early Childhood Center (LECC), made up of pre-k and kindergarten learners, is a driving force for a high standard in early childhood education, with a peaceful, consistent, and procedurally oriented strategy to set the primary foundation for education. This approach will promote learners to be actively engaged and take healthy risks for higher learning. This is a public school with a private school feel. We endeavor to know every child by name and building trust with our learners and families is a top priority. Our learners are greeted in the drive thru each morning by our staff and daily exit consists of children being walked to his/her car.
Part of our mission is working with our families and our community to help each child develop quality in their character and be prepared for life, along with a preparation for the 21st century workforce. Yes, we are training them now in pre-k for the workforce. We have Tiger Task roles that each child has the opportunity to apply for each semester.
There are twelve classrooms in our building, housing full day pre-k and kindergarten classrooms and two of those are available to serve our learners with special needs. The LECC and Lincoln Elementary make up the Lincoln campus. Our great community voted to pass another bond issue in 2018 that allowed us to have a larger elementary cafeteria, safe room for the campus, additional classrooms, along with our two buildings joined together and the opportunity to more easily share resources within this 2020-2021
We are blessed to have a cooperative presence with Grand Lake Mental Health as a part of the Lincoln campus on a daily basis. The early childhood center offers a counselor, speech pathologist, nurse, and nurse assistant to serve our learners for their respective needs. We are a Leader In Me campus and believe that every learner is a leader!
